Restoring Hardwood Floors After Water Damage

    The Race to Save Hardwood

Hardwood floors are a massive investment. When they get wet, the wood absorbs moisture, causing the planks to expand, cup, and eventually buckle. If caught early, professional restoration can save the floors.

    Specialized Drying Equipment

Standard air movers aren't enough to dry the moisture trapped underneath the planks. Tri Point Services uses specialized rescue mats. These large rubber mats are taped to the floor and attached to high-pressure vacuum systems. They literally suck the water up through the seams of the wood, drying the subfloor beneath without having to tear up the planks.

This process requires rapid response—if the wood has already severely buckled or delaminated, replacement is the only option.
